January Newsletter!

On behalf of everyone at Crocus Fields may we take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy New Year! We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas break and keeping to all of those New Years resolutions!

The New Year has brought new bookings and your new dates will be sent out to you in the next week or so. Anyone ho has requested specific dates throughout this period will receive full confirmation with their booking dates.

In early January we held our first family day of 2018 at the Savoy cinema. We would like to thank everyone who attended. It is part of our plan for the year ahead to hold at least three family days for our young people to meet each other and for you to be able to meet a larger group of staff members than those you are already on first name terms with.

The next of these events will be held on Saturday 10th February. Nottingham Forest have very kindly agreed to give us a selection of complimentary tickets! They have even agreed that the group who attend are able to meet the players beforehand! Daniel Berridge has made really good contacts with the community team at Nottingham Forest and we are quite excited by what could come throughout the next year.

We are really interested to hear from parents and families as to what kind of events you would like to look at s putting on. Another idea we have for the year is a summer picnic, but we are keen to be led by yourselves and what you would feel comfortable attending and taking part in. Please get in touch with us and let us know.

We are very excited to announce that Crocus Fields is advertising for staff for two separate posts and would like your help to find some spectacular workers to join the team.

We are looking for a night care assistant (closing date is the 4th February) to join the team. The working pattern is 10pm until 7am for on average 31.5 hours each week. We offer an extensive training package and the council will commit to funding you to take the diploma 3 in residential childcare if you do not already have it. There would be the opportunity to take on day posts should you wish. Applicants can apply via clicking HERE.

We are also looking for two Children's Residential Social Care Workers to join our team. There is two posts available. One at 37 hours and another post at 18.5. The successful applicants will also be assisted and funded to take on the level 3 diploma in childcare should they be successful. The closing date is the 8th February and can be applied for HERE.

If you know anyone with experience and enthusiasm who might be interested in either job/post please encourage them to either apply or get in touch with Pete Corkhill or Joanne Wright at Crocus Fields on 0115 8762285.
