Whilst Crocus Fields is a short breaks unit it is still classified by Ofsted as a "Children's Home".

Therefore we undergo an annual two day inspection which gives us an overall rating. This rating can be "Outstanding", "Good", "Requires Improvement to be Good" or "Inadequate". 

​

The inspection looks at three areas of the home, those being, "Overall experiences of children using the home", "Keeping People Safe" and "Leadership and Management". 

​

Crocus Fields has been deemed as an "Outstanding" service by Ofsted since 2014, which is a long standing record we are proud of.

We are extremely overjoyed with this judgement and feel that it reflects the work we do with families and young people every day. As a parent you may get the opportunity to talk to Ofsted during the inspection as they choose a random selection of parents to talk to. Our two most recent Ofsted reports are available for you to read below. Historical reports are also available on request.

We also undergo monthly (Reg 44) Inspections. These are carried out by members of the council who have undergone training in looking at various aspects of the running of the unit. They may also contact you to find out your views on what Crocus Fields is like.
