Hello everybody!
I know it's been a little while since we posted one of these stories.
Crocus Fields has been very busy lately!
I recently found this charming and heart warming story about Carson Castro, who is 7-years-old and has a diagnosis of Autism. Carson, who hails from Oradell, New Jersey, has set-up a cookie dough business with his mum Kelly and dad VJ.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Carson spent time making cookies with his mum as a way of building his confidence. They started sharing them with friends and family, but people were understandably cautious about accepting cookies from another home during the height of the pandemic.
As a result, they started making cookie dough and delivering it to people's houses. The business has now taken off, with local restaurants selling out batches of the cookie dough. They aim to employ people with disabilities in the future. It's a lovely story, so I'd recommend taking a few minutes to read the article below and to watch the video in the article.
