April Newsletter

We hope that everyone enjoyed the Easter holidays. Crocus Fields was at it's busiest throughout this time. The young people loved their breaks throughout the holidays, enjoying a huge rnage of activities and we have welcomed a new staff member to the team in Lucy Jones!

Following interviews with managers, parents and young people, Lucy (and Crocus veteran casual worker Sarah Cox) have both joined the team of contracted workers. Sarah has worked at Crocus Fields for a long time, both in her role in managing the linkwork service and as a casual worker for the last eight years. Lucy Jones is new to the role and started with us two weeks ago. Both staff members will have profiles available on our staffing page by the end of next week, but in the meantime, Lucy has asked me to share with you her one page profile which she created and brought to her interview! She said she was inspired by the staff profiles which we have on the site and felt it was a good way for us to find out a bit more about her. As previously stated this will be put into her own profile on the site within the next week or so. Lucy has thoroughly enjoyed her introduction into Crocus Fields and you will be sure to see her around the place in the coming months ahead.

Successful Application to John Lewis!

Massive thank you goes out to Dan Berridge who successfully applied for us to be one of John Lewis' chosen organisation's to raise money for! The below poster will be advertised on coin drops at John Lewis. So if you or anyone you know shop there, we would be extremely grateful if you could pick us as the organisation you wish to receive some funding from them! We are hoping to raise some much needed funds to build a sensory garden over in Unit 1. We feel this will really compliment the space well and make a huge difference to our young people.

After you have shopped at John Lewis or bought something in the café you will be given a green coin to put in a box. The below poster will be our box!

Please share this scheme with your family and friends so we stand the best possible chance of being successful!
